FAQ - General Information

What times are you open?
We are open from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday

Is there an onsite car park?
We have a drop off zone for families and a carpark available for those who require all day parking.

Which age ranges do you cater for?

We offer care for children aged between 6 weeks and 6 years.

What should I bring to child care?
Our centre provides morning snack, afternoon snack, nappies, linen and sunscreen.

Under Twos ‘What to bring’: a Labelled bag, labelled sunhat, complete change of clothing, supply of prepared, named bottles for the day, food for the day in a named container and a memo book for daily feedback.

Over Two’s ‘What to bring’: a Labelled bag, labelled sunhat, complete change of clothing, including socks, singlet and knickers (all named), extra Pull Ups (if being toilet trained), a healthy nutritious lunch in named lunch box (if appropriate) and a clearly named drink bottle (sipper).

Is our Centre accredited?
The Centre provides Long Day Care services and is licensed and accredited by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Authority (ACECQA).

What types of qualifications do the staff at the Centre have?
A high percentage of our educators are Qualified, either with Teaching qualifications of a Diploma in Child Care. Our unqualified educators are either studying teaching/Child Care or have a Certificate 3 in Children’s Services.

What are your staff : child ratios?
Under Two's - 1 staff to 4 children.
Toddlers - 1 staff to 8 children then 2:20
Kindy - 1 staff to 8 children then 2:20

Bookings and Payments

Is there a waiting list?
Please notify the centre ASAP of your intended bookings as some days do have a waiting list.

How do the sessions work?
One full day is divided into two sessions; the morning session from 7:00 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon session from 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Families can opt to book in for either or both of these sessions and the fees will vary accordingly.

What are your fees?
Fees can vary depending on the type of care required. Please contact the Centre to find out more.

What subsidies are available to me?
Child Care Benefit (CCB), offered by the Australian Government, is one of the types of subsidies available to eligible families. This can include up to 50 hours of CCB per week. For more information on CCB click here.

A Child Care Rebate is also available to eligible families. This assists with your out of pocket expenses. For more information on the Child Care Rebate click here.

Parents/guardians looking to enter or re-enter the workforce may be eligible for JET subsidies. You can find out more about this here.

Families are asked to register for subsidies and connect to the Centre prior to starting care. This enables Reception staff to reflect the correct fees on your bill from the commencement of care, avoiding any confusion that backdating of subsidies may cause.

What methods of payment are available?
We have an EFTPOS machine in the Centre for payments made on either a Tuesday or Friday.
All other payments came be made at the Enrolments desk located on campus.

Other Information

Can I be involved making decisions at the Centre:
The Centre has an Advisory Committee made up of staff, parents/guardians and TAFE representatives. All parents/guardians are welcome to join the Advisory Committee as parental input in highly valued.

Can I breastfeed my child at the Centre?
Yes, mothers are welcome at any time to come and breastfeed within the Centre. We have a couch in the baby room to accommodate for this.
